A 52-YEAR-OLD FARMER RETURNS TO SCHOOL AS A GRADE 1 STUDENT SAYS IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO LEARN!

Joseph Alba is a 52-year-old man who did not finish studying in grade school because his parents passed away when he was only in 3rd grade and soon after, he found himself working in a sugar cane farm but quitted in 2013 since he couldn't bear the heat at his age. So he found a job as a helper for
the Pasingca Family where he also stays and as days passed in their household, Susan Pasingca noticed Alba would always observe and sit beside her Grade 2 granddaughter as she studies.

Apparently, Alba was often a victim of bullying and wanted to stop his ignorance by believing that it is not yet too late for him to learn. And because he displayed great determination, Susan and her family caused them to take him to school.

Then they've bought uniforms for him and provided Alba a pocket money worth of P5 to P10 a day. Alba's teacher, Fria Laguda describe him to be a fast learner and considered to be an inspiration to the kids and those who are losing hope.

Currently, Joseph Alba is studying in Vicmico Elementary School in Manapla, Negros Occidental as a grade 1 pupil only even just until sixth grade and plans to teach children the importance of reading.
